FEES:

The show fee is £60, due 1st November. The show fee helps to cover a portion of all costs associated with putting on a show; rehearsal venue, show license, set, props, costume etc.

The membership fee for BMOS is £25, membership runs 1st September to 31st August annually. The membership fee helps to cover all costs associated with running the group; storage, website fees, insurance etc.

SCRIPT DEPOSIT:

If you require a script for this production, we require a script deposit of £25 cash in a named envelope.  This will be kept separate from BMOS funds and will be returned to you once the scripts have been returned to the rights holders in a satisfactory condition.  Scripts will be numbered when allocated to you and you will then be responsible for that script for the duration of the show.

AUDITION PROCESS:

Auditions will begin at 6.30pm with a short dance audition. Please ensure you arrive by 6.15pm so we can get everyone registered and start bang on time. There will be two groups for the dance audition - you can choose to either complete the basic audition or the advanced audition. If you wish to be considered as a featured dancer you must complete the advanced audition.

The panel will then see everyone's vocal auditions; we tend to go character by character. Do bear in mind that the evening can get quite late, so bring plenty of snacks and things to do while you wait! There are two other rooms available for you to practice/warm up before you go in for your audition. After you have sung for all characters you wish to audition for, you may leave.

The panel will be recalling for some roles.  If you don’t get a recall, this doesn’t mean you haven’t been cast – they have just seen everything they needed to. We will let you know by Tuesday 28th May if the panel would like to see you at recalls and if you to prepare anything.

ROLES:

Please be completely honest about which roles (including ensemble/cameo roles) you would or would not accept on your audition form.  This will not impact your casting in any way but helps the casting team know where they can place everyone.

Check back here after our launch event on the 5th of May to fill in your audition form
